ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT
Position summary: The Accounting Assistant has the primary responsibility of supporting the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payables department. This includes but is not limited to developing, implementing, and maintaining systems, procedures, and policies for accounting functions for multiple departments.

Qualifications
· Must have a knack for numbers and experience working with a budget
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a positive attitude
· Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and follow up are critical
· Flexible schedule with Monday – Friday availability
Duties and Responsibilities
· Follow up and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner
· Processing invoices for AP
· Quick books processing
· Coding in Great Plains
· Data entry and filing tasks
· Responding to emails and answering phone calls
· Complete retail credit card slips daily
· Responsible for deposits and petty cash
· Responsible for mailing items in a timely manner
· Ability to fill in as needed if other accountants are out
· Assist General Manager as needed
Abilities, Skills, and Requirements
· Great Plains experience strongly preferred
· Experience working with Quick books
· High level of experience using Excel and other tools to analyze data
· Ability to concurrently perform multiple tasks and prioritize
· Ability to effectively communicate, be a functional resource to others, and work well with others
